Introduction

Patrick Osta is considered a think-tank in the field of digital transformation managing a range of strategic technological initiatives and projects, with more than 16-year experience working in both the private and public sectors as well as with think tanks at the UNDESA, OECD, ITU, WEF and a number of European IT government departments.

With a passion for working on complex IT solutions in the Middle East and Africa, Patrick enjoys excellent relations with the governments with the ability to architect smart digital solutions with a focus on sustainable ROIs for the government agencies.

A graduate of Bachelor of Science, computer science from Notre Dam University, Patrick began his career as a technical lead and a software engineer and progressed to delivering national value propositions, most notably include the delivery of the Integration Platform Program for the Population Register of the UAE and the smart gates at the Dubai International Airports.

His experience and passion attracted the Arab Federation for Digital Economy at the League of Arab States to bring him on board as the Chief Technology Officer to realize the strategic intelligence and support the digital transformation in the Arab countries. He is managing the strategic IT requirements for an ambitious vision to boost economies of the 22 Arab countries, create 60 million jobs in the next 20 years through digital transformation for Arab governments and societal inclusion.

With his outreach to Africa, Patrick has managed to secure a wide range of strategic security, technological and infrastructure transformation initiatives with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy.

The most recent is setting up a state-of-the-art digital platform for the rollout of the Republic of Guinea economic and social inclusion programs. The digital platforms include access to energy, agriculture, entrepreneurship, cash transfers and public works.
